Name

mct_event_name — Find an MCT event name

Synopsis

const char *mct_event_name(enum mct_event e);

Description

Return a human-readable name for the given event ID as produced by mct_event_read. This is intended to provide a convenience for printing events.

The value returned is a pointer to static storage. This must not be passed to free().

Return Value

The mct_event_name() function returns a string on success. On failure this function returns NULL and errno is set accordingly.

Errors

The mct_event_name() function may fail for the following reasons:

EINVAL

An invalid event ID was given. Valid IDs are defined by <mct/event.h>.
